| Julien Neumann |
 |
Julien Neumann studied guitar at the Montreux Jazz Conservatory. He discovered the double bass almost by accident, between classes, but developed a lasting passion for the instrument. He remains constantly on the lookout for new musical experiences and sources of inspiration, and is regularly asked to play in various jazz, rock, reggae and world music groups. In 2006, he formed his own quartet, called the Mapouka Quartet.

Samuel Huguenin studied the recorder at the Schola Cantorum in Basel, an institute for the study of early music, followed by the saxophone at Montreux Jazz School. With a preference for improvisation and the cross-cultural exploration of different musical styles, he belongs to various groups that reflect his diverse sources of inspiration: Daedalus (early music), Skapharnaum (ska), Professeur Wouassa (afro-beat), Edo Santa (African music), and Les Manouches Tsé-Tsé (gypsy jazz). In 2005, he also formed his own quartet. |
